Calgary 2026 Plebiscite

On Tuesday November 13, Calgary will vote on the future of the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

THE VOTE!

On Tuesday November 13, Calgary will vote on the future of the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. We need athletes, sport organizations, and individuals to lend your voice and leverage your network.

WHY

You’ve seen firsthand how the Games can transform a community and a nation. Now is the time to bring the Games back to Canada. Hosting the Games can be a powerful catalyst to deliver both tangible and intangible legacies. Legacies that diversify and grow the economy that make world-class cities.

A home Games would also showcase Paralympic sport to Canadians on the largest platform possible, and would be an unmatched opportunity to show Canadians what is possible through sport.

Hear from the athletes

“It’s not just about what happens at these Games or five years after. It’s 30 years that we’ve had since ’88 that we continue to use a lot of the facilities and seeing that refresh is really cool to see the explosion we had in the popularity of the sport since … I hope future generations will have more opportunities than I have had, not just to train and compete but just to be active and outdoors.”
Brian McKeever, Nordic Skiing, Canada's most decorated winter Paralympic athlete

“Devastated and depressed after the loss of my arm, I watched Paralympians in action at the Vancouver 2010 Games. They were so bold and dauntless! Their fighting spirit did it for me. From then on, I walked with my head high and never looked back.”
-    Caroline Bisson, Biathlon, Sochi 2014 Paralympian

“I had lost my right leg due to a six-year battle with a severe leg fracture and after sitting on the bench for six years I was eager to get my life back on track. In 1988 I received a call from an old friend who had an extra ticket for the men’s downhill at the then-new Nakiska ski hill. I missed work that day to take the event in and what a game changer. The atmosphere at the hill was electric. People were speaking different languages, ringing cow bells, and enjoying every minute of the experience. I was out of my element but joined in.  The Olympics changed my direction.”
-    Wayne Epp, Para Cycling and Standing Volleyball, Barcelona 1992 and Sydney 2000 Paralympian, Paralympic silver medallist
