Montreal born Sandrine Hamel is definitely a rising star in the Para snowboard world. She showed her potential with fifth place finishes in the snowboard corss and banked slalom at the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games. Trying snowboarding for the first time at the age of 8, she quickly became hooked to the feeling and adrenaline the sport provided her.  When not on snow, you can find Hamel putting in work in with the punching bag to stay fit.

A member of Quebec’s provincial snowboard team, Hamel has already garnered some impressive results on the World Cup circuit leading into her first Paralympic Winter Games.
